Building Ontario Fund (BOF) invites individuals with experience in infrastructure financing, Indigenous economic development, and Indigenous community engagement to participate in an Indigenous Opportunities Financing Program (IOFP) Technical Advisory Roundtable.

Selected individuals for the Roundtable will provide valuable insights that will help shape the future of IOFP as it expands to new sectors and more Indigenous financing tools are introduced by BOF. Up to 20 members will be selected to participate based on their professional skills and experience, sectoral representation, and familiarity with both Indigenous financing and community engagement.

As BOF expands IOFP, the Roundtable will inform:

• How BOF can provide financing to new priority areas in terms of asset classes, underwriting criteria, due diligence, etc.
• The development of new financing products that complement and enhance Ontario’s Indigenous loan guarantee program.
• How the program aligns with the needs and interests of Ontario’s First Nations, Métis and Inuit communities.

At its end state, IOFP is expected to offer one-window access to Indigenous financing of critical infrastructure projects in Ontario. A summary of the outputs from the Roundtable will be made available on BOF’s website. 

The Roundtable will take place in downtown Toronto and offer in-person and virtual engagement with the selected participants.  Please note that an honourarium and/or reimbursement of expenses will not be offered to Roundtable participants.
