Michael Fedchyshyn brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in strategic corporate development, infrastructure investing, structured finance, and public-private contracting. He joins the Building Ontario Fund from Invest Ontario, where he served as Interim CEO, driving high-impact investments in alignment with the province’s long-term economic priorities. Prior to his time at Invest Ontario, Michael held senior leadership positions at Infrastructure Ontario where he led the creation of the Transit Oriented Communities program and other priority initiatives.

Prior to joining the public sector, Michael’s career spanned private equity, renewable energy development, project finance, and management consulting. He holds a doctorate in Neuroscience from the University of Toronto.

Anca Drexler

Chief Investment Officer

Anca is a seasoned financial industry executive with over 25 years of experience in institutional investing, risk management, and executive leadership. She held several senior roles at OMERS, most recently serving as Executive Vice-President and Head of Treasury, where she was responsible for the management of liquidity, funding, foreign exchange, and economic research for the overall portfolio. Previously, she spent several years at OPTrust, including as Chief Risk Officer, where she built the organization’s first enterprise risk framework and played a key role in investment strategy and Board engagement.

Anca brings a deep expertise in total portfolio management, balance sheet strategy, and a strong track record of building new platforms and high-performing teams.

An alumna of the Harvard Business School, Anca holds a Master of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo and a B.Sc. from the University of Toronto. She is also a CFA charter holder.

Driven by a strong commitment to community impact, she serves on the boards of the Children’s Aid Foundation of Canada and Sunnybrook Hospital Foundation’s Investment Committee.

Inna Kravitz

Chief Financial Officer

Inna Kravitz has more than 27 years of progressive leadership experience both in Canada and internationally, including 16 years in the Ontario public sector. Prior to joining the Building Ontario Fund, Inna served as the Chief Financial Officer at Ornge, where she oversaw Finance, IT, Procurement, and Risk Management, driving operational efficiency while supporting critical healthcare delivery for patients across Ontario. Inna also previously held leadership roles in diverse industries, including manufacturing, telecommunications, services, and publishing.

Inna is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Management. Passionate about community service, she dedicates her free time to serving on non-profit boards, championing initiatives that promote social impact and positive change.

Alena Thouin

Chief Strategy and Operations Officer

Alena Thouin is a seasoned public and private sector executive with more than 20 years of progressive leadership experience in financial services, strategy, operations, and public finance. She brings a strong track record of building high-performing teams, leading complex initiatives, and driving organizational transformation.

Prior to joining the Building Ontario Fund, Alena served as Chief Operating Officer at the Ontario Financing Authority (OFA), where she provided executive oversight for corporate affairs, strategic project financing, information technology, and risk management of the provincial borrowing program. As Executive Lead of the Building Ontario Fund Secretariat at the OFA, she also played a foundational role in shaping the vision and operational framework of BOF.

Alena is a member of the Law Society of Ontario and holds an LL.B. from the University of Windsor. She has also completed executive education at the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School, Wharton Business School Executive Education, and the Rotman School of Management’s Director Education Program (ICD.D).

A passionate advocate for inclusive leadership and mentorship, Alena actively supports initiatives focused on housing, social services, and gender equality. Her leadership style is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and a deep belief in the power of diverse perspectives to drive better outcomes.

Danielle

Danielle Townley

Chief Legal Officer

Danielle Townley is an accomplished legal executive with almost 20 years of experience leading legal and procurement teams primarily in the public sector. Most recently, she served as Senior Vice President of Procurement at Infrastructure Ontario, where she oversaw a multidisciplinary team responsible for procurement execution, contract administration, and policy compliance across major infrastructure initiatives and alternative service delivery transactions.

Danielle has extensive experience advising senior executives and Boards of Directors on matters of policy governance, risk management and complex transactions, with expertise in corporate and commercial law, public sector procurement, and real property law.  In all aspects of her work, she is deeply committed to advancing equity, diversity, inclusion, and Indigenous economic participation.

With a track record of building flexible, effective legal teams and a strong commitment to fostering a culture of service excellence and accountability, Danielle focuses on driving strategic initiatives and developing innovative solutions that create meaningful impact in public infrastructure.

Danielle holds a Juris Doctor and a Master of Arts (History) from the University of Windsor and is a proud member of the Ontario Bar.
