The Building Ontario Fund works with trusted institutional investors and Indigenous partners to attract new investment in priority infrastructure while helping to maintain a responsible fiscal plan today and for future generations.
Projects financed through the Building Ontario Fund are focused on the following priority areas: affordable housing, long-term care, energy, transportation, municipal and community infrastructure, and critical minerals.
The mandate includes support for infrastructure projects for Indigenous partners that advance community and economic wellbeing.
The Building Ontario Fund has developed an investment framework that includes an investment selection process to ensure decision-making prioritizes public benefit and adequately manages risks.
